AIM July Newsletter
Here’s a look back at what we were up to in July and a look ahead to our plans for the fall.
Summer Training Series
Our summer training series on core teams is inspiring and preparing us to build power across Maryland! At each of the 3 sessions so far, between 90-110 people from AIM, PATH, and ACT have attended and learned how to build strong teams in our congregations and communities. Through these teams, we are positioning ourselves to create transformation statewide in the fall.
It isn’t too late to join the rest of the series! You will also receive access to the recordings of the past sessions.
Mid-Year Fundraising Campaign
Thank you to everyone who has donated so far to our mid-year fundraising campaign. It isn’t too late to give! Please make a gift to AIM today:
You can also read about what we’ve accomplished this year in our 2024 Mid-Year Report!
Fall Actions
Looking ahead to this fall, we are preparing for two major actions: one at the county level in October, and one at the state level in November with Governor Moore (invited). At each action, we’ll ask our elected officials to support our priorities in multiple areas, including education, climate, and housing. Stay tuned for more details!
If you would like to be a part of one of our issue action teams, please contact:
Pre-K: Pilar Olmedo Gordon (pilar@actioninmontgomery.org)
Affordable Housing: Katie Wenger (katiew@actioninmontgomery.org)
Climate Equity: Cynthia Marshall (cynthia@actioninmontgomery.org)
Update Your Address
As we move into statewide action this fall, we will be more effective if we can tell our State Senators and Delegates how many people we have in their districts.
You can make that happen by making sure we have the right address for you.
Please email Katie Wenger (katiew@actioninmontgomery.org) with your street address so we can keep your information up to date. Thank you for your support!
