ADMINISTRATIVE & OPERATIONS DIRECTOR
she / her

Maureen grew up in vibrant New York City, where she discovered her calling while volunteering at a senior center in the Lower East Side and witnessed firsthand how effective administration supports community work.

While studying social work at Stony Brook University, a trip to Tanzania redirected her on the path to international development. She joined Peace Corps in the Philippines before pursuing her Master’s in Applied Anthropology & Participatory Development from Australian National University.

Maureen then returned to the Philippines, where she collaborated with local teams of community health workers in addressing health outcomes in their communities. Maureen has spent her career in international development, managing operational activities, including designing an onboarding and orientation strategy for new team members, developing workplans valued at $30 million annually, and reviewing contracts and agreements to ensure compliance with USAID regulations, but her heart has always remained in community development.

Maureen brings her experience to AIM, where she implements systems and processes that enable everyone to focus on the issues community leaders care about most. A Certified Project Management Professional with an additional certificate in Business Analytics, Economics for Managers, and Financial Accounting from Harvard Business School Online, she combines operational excellence with a community focus.
