Ethnic Unity Underplayed in DREAM Act Success, Supporters Say

The Dream Act didn't come in time to benefit Desiree Venn Frederic, a Sierra Leone immigrant who finished school and started a nonprofit organization six years ago. But supporters of the measure say there are plenty more students like her trying to make higher education a reality.
