Building the Beloved Community: An MLK Jr. Interfaith Service

Please join AIM member congregations Cedar Lane Unitarian Universalist Church and The People’s Community Baptist Church on Sunday, Jan. 19 @ 3 PM for a special interfaith service to celebrate the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s life and prophetic legacy.
The service will feature inspiring reflections from Imam Tarek Elgawhary from Islamic Community Center of Potomac and the Rev. Dr. Haywood Robinson, senior pastor at People’s Community Baptist Church in Silver Spring, interfaith prayers, excerpts from Dr. King’s speeches, and uplifting music by the Zaynab Ensemble, the People’s Church Men’s & Suitland High Youth choirs, and dance performances by Starmakers Academy of Dance students.
