It’s a party!
AIM’s 20th Anniversary Celebration is December 5

Join us for an evening of music performances, special video presentations, and stories from AIM leaders on Saturday, December 5 at 7pm, as we celebrate twenty years of AIM.

For two decades, AIM has been on the ground in Montgomery County, building citizen power to effect real change. Through the years, AIM leaders in congregations, schools, and neighborhood associations act together on issues that matter to their communities, winning tangible results and holding our elected officials accountable.

So, join us for this special evening of inspiration and celebration. Bring a bottle of sparkling cider and wear something yellow (a hat, a scarf, an AIM button). On December 5, we’ll honor our AIM leaders, build new relationships, celebrate the past 20 years, and imagine the future we’re building together.

So whether you’re a seasoned AIM leader or just now learning about AIM, join us on December 5.

This is an event for you! Whether you’ve been part of past campaigns or are curious what it means to be a broad-based, interfaith coalition committed to equity and justice, please join us for this evening of hope and inspiration.

Together, we’ll celebrate our leaders and our past victories, and we’ll lay the groundwork for the next 20 years of organizing for meaningful, lasting change.

Know any AIM leaders?

AIM’s two decades of successful campaigns happened because hundreds of everyday leaders stepped forward with a myriad of talents and skills. AIM leaders have door-knocked, made phone calls, attended training, participated in listening sessions, voted on the AIM agenda, met with public officials, financially given to AIM, served on the AIM strategy and clergy teams, and attended AIM actions. Literally: hundreds.

We want to honor those who have led us through the past two decades and we need your help. Invite the people who stood shoulder-to-shoulder with you in campaigns to join us. If you don’t know how to reach them, make a list of their names and send it to Cynthia or Tanushree

Campaign Reunions

Do you remember door-knocking with other AIM leaders to reopen community centers in historic African American neighborhoods? Do you think back fondly on the relational meetings you did in your congregation to win hundreds of millions of dollars in the Housing Initiative Fund, and you wonder what other people remember from that campaign? Do you wonder how the people you marched with in Annapolis for the Maryland Dream Act are doing these days?

Wonder no more! Come to one of our campaign reunions and reconnect with your AIM neighbors and colleagues from past campaigns. Share your memories of organizing and scheming with your fellow AIM leaders, and find out how YOUR victory has made a difference over the years!
