Prayer Service to Support AIM Leader Facing Deportation
November 29, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 7:45 pm
A top leader and pastor with AIM and his fellow survivors of the Flower Branch Fire is now being detained by ICE. He came to the US to flee religious persecution, and has no criminal record, only a conviction of driving without a license. When you talk to him on the telephone receiver through the glass window in prison, he says, “The US is a wonderful country because of its freedom of religion. There are many people in jail with me who feel alone and hopeless. I am helping them to find God’s love and realize they are not alone.”
On Tuesday Dec. 4, a judge will decide whether or not he must return to his country of birth where he will face danger to his life, and be separated from his 1 year old daughter indefinitely.
On Thursday November 29 at 7pm we will hold a Prayer Meeting and Press Conference to support this leader. His lawyer believes that if the judge sees that measured, thoughtful people of faith stand and support Edy, that it will be helpful in his case.
PLEASE SHOW UP THURSDAY NIGHT TO SHOW SUPPORT FOR THIS FAITH LEADER AND KEEP HIM FROM BEING DEPORTED.
